a patriotism post

mungkin semenjak dua menjak nak ke oversea nih, saya lebih berkewarganegaraan (is that what we called.. err... i think better be patriotik, it sound better). kalau bukan kita nak sayangkan negara kita, siapa lagi ye tak?

actually this post comes in mind since now i am here, home alone after watching a frustrating arsenal game against totenham, i watched badminton instead. well, truthly speaking, i not a badminton lover at first. i a total loser, well i used to help my friend to become a dummy, making fool of myself when playing badminton so they can qualified to become school representative. mana tau, at college, when there's not much choice of sports to play, i just play badminton and not to brag, im kinda good at it. haha.

recalling last year, i was in student lounge at KTT, watching badminton (thomas cup if i was not mistaken), markis kido/hendra setiawan (indonesia) vs wat-ever-their-names (china). well, sengit gila kot game tu. i almost scream so semangat, getting too much emo watching the games. well, im not alone. there's a few taiko2 badminton (john hii, ru ren, afiq tan, jin xiang). and, not to mention, we have AS level exam in a couple of days. when i watched this, i recalled my mom once said this to me, " orang cina mesti sokong china. dia orang semangat tengok china menang je" well, mom. come to KTT and i'll prove you are wrong. here where all chinese would scream emotionally watching chong wei fighting his best for the nation against lin dan. even some of my friend sokong indonesia during the previous men's doubles. the support indonesia because they want some other country, other than china, to win. and they also dont want to support china because chong wei will meet them later. haha. epic!

if u want a true spirit of patriotism in malaysian, go watch football. no kidding. i went for malaysia vs singapore and it was an EPIC! bak kata pak cik sebelah, tak pernah menyanyi lagu Negaraku semangat sangat sampai rasa macam nak pergi berperang. singing all cheer songs to malaysian footballer, boo-ing the singaporeans (haha.. ini tidak bagus. sila jangan tiru) and celebrate the first goal by Harimau Malaya. it was an epic. i guess, thats how it feel if i watch football in Emirates, huh? but the main thing i want to emphasize here was, there was nothing as all-malay fans. two row behind me was full with a row of chinese people, wearing Harimau Malaya jersey and plus, with spikey yellow hair. so semangat! there's even an indian family far in the front rows and if you are a foreigner and you are wearing Harimau Malaya jersey, you'll be famous. it happens in the stadium.

i guess there's no rasicm in malaysia now. maybe a few lah. but not many. all people have learnt to respect other culture.

owh, game dah tamat. lin dan menang. nampaknya chong wei jumpa lin dan lagi besok. good luck lah chong wei!!!

tak sabar nak tengok compilation of video sent by malaysian to mat lufi at youtube. harap-harap that moment dah dapat internet.
